This blog is dedicated to Ayman Abdel-Rahman Ali Taha, who died a soldier in Iraq on December 30, 2005. He was a loving father, husband, and son, beloved brother, nephew, cousin and friend whose loss we are heartbroken over. Rest in Peace, until we meet again. to that family,
I didn't know this site was here or I would have gotten to you so much sooner. May you all be in good health and my thoughts and prayers are with you all daily.
I had the pleasure of serving with Taha in Iraq and was at the balad house when the incident occurred. To say the least it was horrifying and shocking at the same time. But please know that he was admired by so many of the men and always kept others in his mind daily. The first time I met him he was pulling into the compound and through myself and a couple of other infantryman attached to group a small box of about 10 steaks he had picked up while out on a mission. Needless to say he quickly became a favorite of the boys on post.
He will be missed dearly.
